Welcome to The Billy Motel and Bar, a hub for travelers and locals to meet, wind down or reboot on top of the mountain.

Our pocket-size, ten-room motel and bar sits squarely between the entrance to Blackwater Falls State Park and the town of Davis, West Virginia. It is two miles from the town of Thomas, home of The Purple Fiddle, and eight miles from all of the outdoor activities in Canaan Valley.

Whether you are staying with us or just dropping by, relax by the fireplace in our lobby with a rejuvenating cocktail or a French press coffee. The first one’s on us for all motel guests 21 or older.

Our region is a mountaintop getaway for a diverse group of adventurers from across the Mid-Atlantic. Travelers from D.C., Baltimore, Pittsburgh, New York, and Philadelphia come to experience this unique area in every season.

Dolly Sods Wilderness Area, Blackwater Falls and Canaan Valley State Parks, and Monongahela National Forest are the backdrops for hiking, biking, boating, and downhill and XC skiing. Art galleries, music venues, breweries, restaurants, and coffee shops make up the mountain’s sister towns of Thomas and Davis. And no visit is complete without a visit to the legendary The Purple Fiddle Café.
